On March 16, 2018, the State Specialized Forest Protection Enterprise “Kharkivlisozakhyst” together with the state enterprise “Romensky Forestry” conducted a methodological training on forest protection at the Nedryhailiv Forestry. The training was attended by all forestries subordinated to the state forestry enterprise and was led by the chief forester of “Romensky Forestry” I. Ya. Prymak with the participation of the chief forest pathologist of “Kharkivlisozakhyst” D. O. Baturkin.<\/p>\n
The main topics focused on the timely detection and localization of forest pest and disease outbreaks, namely:<\/p>\n
1. The need to report pathological processes in forest stands (signs of damage or crown drying).<\/p>\n
2. The main types of forest pests and diseases. Modern monitoring, control, and prevention measures.<\/p>\n
3. The top bark beetle \u2013 one of the most dangerous trunk pests. Features of stand monitoring.<\/p>\n
4. Creation of forest plantations, control, and prevention of the mass spread of infectious diseases.<\/p>\n
During the training, a number of pressing issues were discussed between the forestry protection service and the representative of “Kharkivlisozakhyst”.<\/p>\n
