We often criticize others, waiting for someone to come and do something for us. But why not start with ourselves, begin with the smallest things – not throwing trash in the forest, using energy-saving technologies, or simply planting a tree with our child…<\/p>\n
With the aim of fostering environmental awareness and respect for forests in the younger generation, employees of SSE “Kharkivlisozakhyst” and residents of Pokotylivka urban-type settlement (link: http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pokotylivka) in Kharkiv Oblast and the city of Kharkiv created a symbolic alley of coniferous trees on the territory of the forest protection enterprise on April 17, 2015. This event was dedicated to the conclusion of the tenth anniversary campaign “The Future of the Forest is in Your Hands” (link: http:\/\/lisozahyst.org.ua\/?p=565) and Environment Day (link: https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/observances\/environment-day).<\/p>\n
As noted by Pavel Goncharov, a Category II Forest Pathologist from the Monitoring and Forecasting Department (link: http:\/\/lisozahyst.org.ua\/?page_id=186) of SSE “Kharkivlisozakhyst”: – “Love for one’s country should be shown not only in words but also in deeds. Planting a tree is a noble cause, and every citizen of Ukraine should understand this. The fact that people can always admire trees planted with their own hands fosters love for the forest.”<\/p>\n
