The persistence of ASF within wildlife populations highlights the critical need for effective measures to prevent its spread and protect domestic pig populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategy for Combatting ASF<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>International experience shows that managing ASF in wild boar requires a logical sequence of actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Halt the epidemic wave<\/strong> to prevent further geographical spread of the virus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promote natural virus lethality<\/strong>, allowing the epidemic to drastically reduce the density of the infected population.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reduce the residual population<\/strong> once the virus has caused a population collapse, preventing rapid recovery.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Purpose and Audience<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To address these challenges, this biosafety training course provides hunting ground users, forestry and hunting industry workers, and veterinary services with the necessary knowledge and practical tools to improve biosecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This interactive training promotes the implementation of best practices for ASF surveillance and control, ensuring a coordinated and effective response to the disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Apply biosecurity measures<\/strong> to prevent the spread of ASF, ensuring community awareness and compliance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Develop disease eradication strategies<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Identify transmission risks<\/strong> and conduct carcass disposal in accordance with biosafety requirements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communicate effectively<\/strong>, raising awareness and fostering cooperation between hunters, veterinarians, and local communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The course includes videos, text materials, and practical tools.
