For a thousand days, Ukrainians have been heroically defending themselves against the Russian onslaught. From the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale war, the world has continued to be amazed by the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people.

These thousand days have become an era of rethinking, maturation, and deep understanding of the values that the Ukrainian people live by. A thousand days of war have shown how important faith is – faith in God, faith in justice, faith in victory.

In connection with this, specialists from DSPL “Kharkivlisozakhyst” held a solemn ceremony at the Glory Park in the Pokotylivka settlement to honor the brave defenders (laying flowers) who died as a result of the aggressive war that Russia started and is waging against Ukraine.

Additionally, the enterprise organized a screening of a documentary film shot during the war for its employees. The film, titled “The Hardest Hour” (“Dovha Doba”), is a laureate of the 2024 “Cinema for Victory” documentary film festival and the winner of the festival. Directed by Alan Badoev, “The Hardest Hour” is a documentary about the lives of Ukrainians during the war, with each story filmed by the heroes themselves on their own devices.

The heroes of the documentary are Ukrainian citizens who share personal memories of the war and its impact on their lives. Director Alan Badoev spent a year and a half creating the film, collecting 12,000 stories from different parts of Ukraine. “The Hardest Hour” became the winner of the Cinema for Victory documentary film festival about films shot during the Russian-Ukrainian war, organized by the State Film Agency. The film was also presented at NATO Headquarters in Brussels as part of a strategic meeting of ambassadors and NATO members.

On November 19, 2024, it will be one thousand days since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation (February 24, 2022).
