State Specialized Forest Protection Enterprise “Kharkivlisozahyst” is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website kharkivlisozahyst.gov.ua for all users, regardless of their physical abilities, technical devices, or software. We adhere to the requirements of DSTU ISO/IEC 40500:2016 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines — WCAG 2.0 Level AA) and the recommendations of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

Accessibility level

Our website has been developed with consideration of international accessibility standards. We strive to achieve Level AA compliance with WCAG 2.0. Currently, most pages of the website meet this level, but we continue working to improve the accessibility of all sections.

What has been done for accessibility

  • Use of semantic HTML markup for correct work with screen readers.
  • Alternative text for all images (where possible).
  • Keyboard navigation capability (Tab, Enter, Space).
  • Sufficient contrast between text and background.
  • Responsive design for convenient viewing on mobile devices.
  • Use of clear and understandable headings and links.

What is planned

We are constantly improving the website. In the near future, we plan to:

  • Add the ability to change font size on the page;
  • Improve navigation for people with visual impairments;
  • Provide subtitles for video materials (in the future);
  • Conduct a full accessibility audit with the involvement of experts.
