On January 26, 2026, the North-Eastern Interregional Directorate of Forestry and Hunting held a working meeting to ensure compliance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine. The meeting was attended by representatives of the “Slobozhanskyi Forest Office” branch of the “Forests of Ukraine” SE, the “Kharkivlisozakhyst” State Specialized Forest Protection Enterprise, and the H. M. Vysotsky Ukrainian Order of “Honor Badge” Research Institute of Forestry and Agroforestry Melioration.

During the meeting, issues regarding a systematic approach to conducting environmental impact assessment procedures and carrying out economic activities in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Environmental Impact Assessment,” as well as the requirements of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated April 23, 2024, No. 454 “Some Issues of Forestry Management During the Legal Regime of Martial Law and Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated May 12, 2007, No. 724” were discussed.

The meeting examined the specifics of applying the mentioned regulatory and legal acts, defined the main requirements for organizing and conducting forestry activities under martial law, and emphasized the necessity of adhering to environmental norms and environmental impact assessment procedures.

Based on the meeting results, the participants developed relevant proposals and defined further steps to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
